baseball related from Friday, March 29th. We'll start it off as always with the transactions,

injuries, news, and notes from around the league. Starting off with our IL placements, third

baseman Nick Senzel was placed on the 10-day IL with a fractured right thumb.

Senzel will hit the IL before taking the field even once in a Nationals uniform.

The third baseman broke his thumb fielding grounders prior to Thursday's game and will miss

the next three to four weeks.

Trey Lipscomb will have his contract selected and could take over as the everyday third

baseman in Senzel's absence.

Washington's number 16 prospect, according to MLV pipeline.

Lipscomb is a free swinger with average abilities across the board,

though he'll have to prove himself in the majors before earning fantasy consideration.

Catcher Sean Murphy of the Braves was placed on the 10-day IL with a left oblique strain.

Murphy sustained the injury on a swing during Friday's game, and it seems to be an oblique strain of the lowest severity, so we should see Murphy back behind the plate in just a few weeks.

The Braves promoted Chadwick Tromp to take over as the backup catcher as Travis Darnode moves into the starting
