Summary

This week, the world celebrated when it learned a second COVID-19 vaccine preformed extremely well during a U.S. trial. Moderna announced Monday their vaccine is showing 94.5% effectiveness and they could have millions of doses ready in the coming months. Recently on the Rundown, host Jessica Rosenthal spoke with Lindy Washburn, a reporter with the Record and NJ.com who participated in the Moderna trial. Washburn discussed her experience, what side effects she felt and why she believes she received the vaccine and not the placebo. The journalist also explained why she risked her own health for the study and why she is confident the COVID-19 vaccines will be safe once they're available. We only played a small portion of the conversation in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra you will hear our full conversation with reporter Lindy Washburn and learn what it is like to take part in a historic vaccine study. Learn more about your ad choices.
