Earlier this week, we spoke to a former congressman and a current congressman about the end of the impeachment trial and after the President's State of the Union,

during which Speaker Pelosi dramatically ripped up the president's speech.

New York Republican Tom Reed and former Democratic Congressman Harold Ford Jr.

Ford has been out of Congress for more than a decade now, but he still keeps close tabs. We talked to him about

the division in the country and if healing is in the cards anytime soon. He says

it depends on the president and the election.

The day after we spoke to Ford, the President spoke at the White House, surrounded

by friendly faces to blast his treatment over the past three years and to give thanks

to his supporters, especially those in Congress.

Our conversation with Ford was far-ranging, and while we had to edit it down for time, we thought

you'd like to hear the whole thing.
