Summary

When gymnastics star and four-time gold medalist Simone Biles pulled out of two Olympic competitions last week it did more than shock the world. Her decision also put a spotlight on the sport, the pressure we put on young athletes and the issue of mental health. On the FOX News Rundown earlier this week, host Chris Foster spoke to three-time Olympian and gold medalist Dominique Dawes about Biles and the physical and emotional challenges of being an Olympic gymnast. Dawes described what she believes Biles went through before she pulled out of last week's team competition and how the lack of crowds at the Tokyo games could be impacting the competitors. Our original conversation with Dominique Dawes was too long and we could not include all of it in our original segment. On FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our complete interviews with the Olympic gold medalist and learn more about her views on the sport of gymnastics and how she is using her academy to help change its culture.
