Epstein let me just say you know this has been so bungled uh badly bungled by the

republicans i don't i don't know what the hell they were thinking here and they've put the

president in a bad position the attorney general put the president in a bad position everybody put the president in a bad position i don't General put the president in a bad position. Everybody put the

president in a bad position. I don't get it. I don't know what was happening here. And I don't

really understand because Speaker Mike Johnson is angry today that the Senate just went forward

with the bill because he had concerns about people who might be connected to Epsine but

did nothing wrong. And yet they didn't take the time in the House to fix that. And they

had months and months to do it. And now you're putting the president in this bad position where

it's like, well, either you sign this bill knowing that it's possible that people who were

whistleblowers or victims or did nothing

wrong could be exposed and have their life ruined or just guilt by association or you could veto it,

in which case then you're going to have incredible outrage and look like you're protecting.

And I don't know what is happening here, but you talk about an issue that should have been something that the Republicans were in charge of and in control of.

And you let the Democrats lead with this on the talking points.

And the only upside to this is right now the Democrats look foolish.

And Hakeem Jeffries is so dumb that he has not figured out that he needs a new talking point now.

His talking point is that this is the Republican and Trump cover-up, but the Republicans just all but one voted to pass it.

And the one who didn't vote to pass it had legitimate reasons around due process and people who, like I just mentioned, could be caught up in all this who did nothing
