I welcome to this week's Reliable Sources Podcast. I'm your host Brian Stelter and this

Let's start on the credentials issue, President Trump, on Twitter, just kind of musing

about the idea of taking away credentials.

One of these like typical daily shocking scandals that I guess everybody moves on from a day later.

Hadas, what was the reaction in DC?

Well, I mean, it's the reaction we've seen before. The Correspond Association came out, strongly condemned it and Sarah Sanders was

rightly confronted with questions about it during the press briefing and what I just

found just I mean we shouldn't be surprised anymore by this but what I just found stunning was that when asked how do you how can you

Connect saying in front of journalists that you are committed to a free press with the president saying

that he wants to revoke media credentials. Sarah did not give, I think, any sort of

answer. She danced around it. She talked about how they proved that they're there for free press because they're standing

in front of the media at that moment taking questions and that the president talks to the media
