And welcome back, everybody. Joe Concha in for Mr. New York, Mark Simone on this was sunny, then monsoon, and now starting to clear again Thursday here in the New York area.

We needed some rain.

I never thought I'd say that given the spring that we had, but we've had a little bit of a dry spell lately.

My flowers have been suffering a little bit, and yes, I plant flowers.

What are you going to do about it?

Anyway, I want to bring in John David Roberts, one of the great journalists of our generation.

John has been everywhere. I remember growing up watching John here in New York on CBS, too, I believe. Then he went to the mothership

of CBS, and he was at CNN for a while, and now he's at Fox News, and he's the anchor of America

reports. He was a White House correspondent for some years during the Trump era.

And have I missed anything, John?

Did I just hear you say, you remember, quote, growing up watching me?

Well, I grew up around here in the 80s, I guess. So were you on in the 80s?

Am I right about it?

It was the early 90s early

nice okay that's right so all right I was college age I guess at that point so yeah I'm still

growing at that point but uh you got in the business very young I was just fresh out of college

myself that's what I thought okay too funny too funny. What was your first job,

but it was the CBS, too, or was it a smaller station?

My first job was at a 5,000, the proverbial 5,000-watt radio station in a little town

named Owens Sound in the province of Ontario, Canada.
