0:45.1	words from the judge brought the Dominion Fox News defamation case to an end before the
0:50.3	jury heard from a single witness. Late today, Fox agreed to a nine figure pow to settle
0:56.0	the lawsuit. 787.5 million bucks, a little less than half of the 1.6 billion they were
1:05.0	suing for.
1:07.5	Fox has admitted to telling lies about Dominion that caused enormous damage to my company,
1:13.7	our employees and the customers that we serve. Nothing can ever make up for that.
1:20.1	The deal officially ends the legal battle over whether Fox defamed the Dominion when it
1:24.9	broadcasts conspiracy theories about his voting machines and the 2020 presidential election.
1:30.4	Those included false claims Dominion used its voting machines to rig the outcome.
1:36.2	The truth matters. Lies have consequences. Over two years ago, a torrent of lies swept
1:48.6	Dominion and election officials across America into an alternative universe of conspiracy
1:57.8	theories causing grievous harm to Dominion and the country. Lies have consequences.
