Friday Newscombe around the NFL. We got Leonard Furnett back to the fucking ears and a couple of big time NFL draft trades.

We're gonna focus on Leonard Furnett. And man, Jamie, we've talked about a lot of deals. This is now bonus pod number 13.

This is the worst. I hate, hate, hate this for fantasy.

I would agree to a certain extent. I do think though, given what the landscape of how the running back situation has played itself out and knowing what some teams

least you can assume are gonna do in the draft, this was probably the best destination for Leonard Furnett's fantasy value.

Unless he was going to get a job somewhere where a team that would not be in the draft like Pittsburgh, for example, was going to take a run-eback.

Okay, but you know, this is why I can't stand it. Ronald Jones played four games without Leonard Furnett. There was one game where Leonard Furnett technically played. He played one snap and that was it.

You count that. Ronald Jones averaged 15 non-PPR 18-PPR points per game. That's a top eight running back. Furnett played three games without Ronald Jones, including the playoffs. And he was even better.

He averaged 15.7 non-PPR 19-PPR points per game. So a little bit of point better in both formats than Joe.

Basically, when it was just one of them, you were talking about a top eight running back if they had kept that up all year. So even if they didn't keep that up all year, you were talking about potentially a top 12 running back.

A must start awesome player on a great offense who scores touchdowns. I mean, look at this game log for Ronald Jones without Furnett.

20 carries 111 yards, six catches, 17 carries, 16 yards, 23 carries, 113 yards, two touchdowns, 18 carries, 80 yards, and a touchdown.

I really want to see what Ronald Jones can do. And we won't, I don't know that we're going to see this. And it's so confusing to be Jamie because at one point late in the year, Leonard Furnett was inactive.

And they basically chose Ronald Jones. And then Jones hurts his finger, quad, COVID, and Leonard Furnett had one of the better post seasons we've ever seen.

Carries a bunch of momentum into this year. Who do you like better? Who you drafting first, Jones or Furnett? Oh, Furnett. You know, I think the fact that they keep him and wanted to keep him and made it, you know, overtly obvious they wanted to keep him.

I think some of the conversations that came out after the Super Bowl about what you said, you know, when he was inactive and Bruce Ariens basically said, you can, we can cut you or you can be a part of something special.

And for net, I think took that to heart, the opportunity to open up for him with Ronald Jones getting hurt. I think he's the guy for them. I think, you know, play off Lenny and Lombardi Lenny and all the things that he did to help them.

He gets the first crack to be the guy, but it's not going to be a solo act. Ronald Jones will play. But this is now going into three years of Ronald Jones with Bruce Ariens. You kind of know what it is.

When Ronald Jones is by himself, he's going to get the opportunity. When Ronald Jones has a threat, he's not going to be a part of the, you know, he's not going to be the same part of the offense.

But yet nearly a hundred more carries than Furnett.

Well, because of a getting a head start on the offense and be, you know, what the way it all played out.

Ronald Jones at the start of last season was the better runner by the end of the season. Lenny for net knew the offense. He knew Tom Brady. He knew everything that was astaphim. And that's the expectation. So I think the move to bring back for net to tell you that he's the guy now will he be the guy for 16 games probably not.
