Summary

Following Wild Card weekend, we kick off a discussion about the winning quarterbacks in the playoffs and how they compare to Geno Smith and the Seahawks. Should the Seahawks should consider changes based on these performances? Is having a mobile quarterback in the NFL necessary for Seattle to stay competitive.

Coaching is the focus of the another topic, as the guys break down what the Seahawks should look for in a new offensive coordinator. With names like Klint Kubiak and Grant Udinsky in the mix, it's looking like head coach Mike Macdonald is less interested in bringing in a senior play caller. Finally, based on what we saw in the Wild Card round, we weigh the pros and cons of keeping DK Metcalf versus exploring other options.

0:10.9

I'm your host, Clinton Bonner, and I am joined by Adam Embert hanging out in Montana.

0:15.3

Adam, we got to witness some some exciting football, some stupid football, some predictable football and wildcar

0:22.9

weekend. But I thought, and you thought, you know what, there might be some lessons baked

0:27.1

in that our Seattle Seahawks can take from this wildcar round. How you do them, buddy, you

0:33.6

excited the chat. Seahawks football, even though we didn't play a game, you know, in like about a week.

0:54.2

Yeah, we haven't played in about a week, but you did text, Brandon and I, a quartet of topics that you wanted to kind of get through here. And I thought that they were legit interesting. And it does raise some questions about maybe what the Seahawks want to do going forward here in the future, this off season.

0:57.0

And I'm excited to get into it, man. Like, look, we may not be playing. But catfish. Like, we can talk about like Seahawks football still. We can't. We are. And we're going to, right? Because that's just what we do. And you know, you guys are traveling down to Dallas in, what, just a couple of weeks now, right? You guys are going to the Shrine Bowl. That's going to be, I think, really, really exciting and cool. I can't make it. But have you been to and through Dallas in your traverses? Oh, yeah. Yeah, I've spent some time in Dallas, but never been to the Shrine Bowl or the Senior Bowl. And it's going to be exciting. It sounds like the bootleg guys are going to kind of take us under their wing and show us around and help us meet some folks, and they say you get to make a lot of NFL contact. So we'll see how it goes. I'm fired up for it. Yeah, that will be amazing. And for the fans out there, bootleg football is tremendous, right? E.J. Snyder, Brett Coleman. You probably know them already, but they do a couple of shows a week that you just got to check out NFL-wide shows and can't just really can't give them enough praise because the stuff is really, really good. All right. So we had some fun games. The Commander's Bucks game, I think was the most fun, the most competitive. We had the hate watch party last night. Hate Watch 25. It was fun and concept. And sometimes things are fun and concept. And we executed, Adam. I felt like you, myself and Brandon, and the listeners and the viewers executed. but the stupid Vikings decided to not execute.

2:18.8

But I think we decided we're going to give the hate watch one more opportunity

2:22.9

versus the Eagles on Sunday.

2:25.2

Are we committed?

2:26.6

Yes, I am committed.

2:28.3

And I would love to see the Rams have a bad game and unravels

2:31.8

so we can talk like legitimate smack instead of being like,

2:35.0

that was a good play.

2:37.2

So that would make the hate watching a lot more fun.

2:40.9

But there was a lot of football played this weekend.

2:44.7

I'm not going to call it interesting per se.

2:47.2

The one good game obviously was the commander's game, commander's bucks.

2:52.4

But beyond that, a lot of duds that a lot of duds a lot of duds yeah some predictable things and some and then then there was

2:57.8

that chargers game which was just like very interesting we're going to talk about that and one of our

3:01.3

topics as we get going as well and yes so we will be doing a hate watch party uh sunday the games
