In uncertain days, it is important to remember that our world is getting ready to meet God.

We are all getting ready to meet Him.

Today, we join Scott Pauli in walking through the final book of the Bible, The Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Revelation is a book filled with symbolism, and that is so because this is how God helps us to see

plainly these deep and profound truths. You'll remember when the Lord Jesus Christ taught his disciples

on earth, he very frequently used object lessons to help them see what he was saying. Well, when you come to Revelation,

and the Lord is teaching us again, revealing himself to us, he uses a great many pictures.

We've come to some of those pictures today in Revelation chapter 4. You remember, we got a glimpse

of the throne, a view unlike any other. We saw the Lord high and lifted up. And at the throne

and all around the throne there were angels. The Bible refers to them here as four beasts.

And the Bible says in verse 7 that the first beast was like a lion and the second beast like

a calf. And the third beast had a face as a man and the fourth beast was like a flying

eagle now I want to pause today in Revelation chapter 4 verse 7 and look with you at these four

pictures because these four pictures are significant in, these four pictures really have one purpose.

And when we're done, I want you to see the one purpose because it takes us back to Christ.

I love that. It's very easy when you start studying these prophetic passages to get enamored

with things like the angels. In fact, we're living in a world today

where people love to talk about angels, but yet they don't want to talk about Jesus. Something wrong

with that, because the angels were created by our God and they serve our Christ. And so the angels

are not deity. They're not divine. They're just the ones near the throne.

In fact, the only glory the angels have is the glory they reflect. Satan forgot that. You remember
