loving or truthful. He wants us to think God is cruel. But all throughout Scripture,

we are reminded that God does not take away joy. He gives it.

He also wants us to think skeptically about God, to remove God's word from our minds so he can slip in

other ideas to replace them. It's subtle, but once we can identify his lies, we can stand firm in the truth.
