And now, here's Andrew. Welcome to our Tuesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today is my second week of teaching through a series that I've entitled for basics of hearing God's voice.

And this is a little brochure, our booklet that I wrote about it at 60 pages.

We're giving this away as a free gift, and I tell you this is awesome. I think it'll really bless you.

So I've already established last week that the number one way, or let me say it this way, the beginning way, or the most elementary way that God has of speaking to anybody saved or lost is your conscience.

And that's what I focused on last week. And then the Word of God, the written Word of God, the Bible is the most foundational way beyond just your conscience.

And then we'll go talk about your born again, Spirit, how that you have a renewed mind, you know all things, you have the mind to Christ, and ultimately we'll get to talking about how that the Holy Spirit can give you very, very specific words about hearing from God.

So yesterday, I was using 2 Timothy, chapter 3, verses 16 and 17, that says, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

So that 16th verse, where it says, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God in the Greek, it literally means all Scripture is God breathed.

The Bible is not men riding about God, but instead it is literally God speaking through men. And a verse that goes along with this is over in 2 Peter, chapter 1, and Peter had talked about that it was getting time for him to die.

He says that his departure was close at hand, and he was riding these things down so that after he left, people would have a record of the things that he had seen, and he was verifying that what I'm riding unto you is not fables.

This isn't something I've heard, he said, I was an eyewitness, I was there when Jesus literally was transfigured and relied begin to radiate from him, and the glory of God overshadowed them, and they heard an audible voice out of heaven saying, this is my beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased.

So he was saying all of these things to validate that while he was saying wasn't just hearsay, he had experienced it. He was trying to get them to see that it was truly the word of God.

And I guarantee those things are impressive, not very many people could say what Peter said, but then he goes on to say in verse 19, we have also a more sure word of prophecy.

He had just talked about being there and seeing Jesus transfigured and hearing an audible voice from God and seeing Moses and Elijah talk to Jesus about his crucifixion that was coming up.

What could be more sure than that? Did you know most people, they really are looking for some physical experience, some physical evidence to relate to God.

And I can understand that to a degree, but it's the wrong approach. God is a spirit is what Jesus said in John chapter 4 verse 24, and to truly worship him, you must worship him in spirit and in truth.
