Summary
Many of you have continued to ask questions about posting and your social media for your business during this time. So today we are gong to take another deep dive with host, Lindsay Pinchuk, this time into the importance of speaking out and speaking gout with the right messaging and in the right way.
If you haven’t listened to last week’s episode about navigating social media during a crisis, take a listen, its a great compliment to today’s conversation. Listen Here
Today we're going to discuss the importance of speaking up and speaking up in the right way. In addition to Lindsay sharing the importance of doing so for your brand, she will also share stories to back up these six points:
- Craft a message that will resonate with your community.
- Don’t be afraid to speak out at your company if you don’t agree with how they are handling the situation.
- Be mindful of your personal brand, especially if you are representing a larger corporation.
- Don’t gloss over the situation with a generic statement in your stories . Especially if you’re continuing your content as usual.
- Be careful what you say, if it’s online it’s not private, even if you’re in a private group.
- Don’t stay silent, especially if you’re a public persona.
There is a lot here, but I share this with you as like I said last week, there is no blue print for how to handle yourself right now. But there are best practices to make sure that you come out the other side unscathed.
