So one thing that was said to me yesterday, this is funny.

0:01.7

So I have this topic here, but it's, you know, the argument to me is like, oh, you know, we have to, we have to let the cake bake, right? So founders have to let the cake bake. This is, we can, we can talk about this and I want to get your take on it. But I'll tell you one thing. My mom used to say bake a cake, that meant something. I mean, that meant use the restroom. But

0:21.2

going back to founders must let the cake bake, what that actually means is you might have a lot of

0:27.3

different initiatives, but you have to let them sit, right? You have to stop opening the oven all the time.

0:31.1

What do you think about that? No, I agree. And that's why I pick different problems to hop around

0:35.5

with because the cake doesn't bake fast enough for most

0:38.1

initiatives yeah i mean you can okay warn buffett and charlie munger said this you remember i think

0:43.5

it was it was charlie that said it's like you can you can impregnated women or or nine different

0:47.9

women but it's it's not baby's not going to come out like you know in a month like correct

0:52.3

every nine babies yeah it's like when we do SEO we know if we make changes to a website right now and do all these SEO, you know, link building, brand mentions, creating content. We know we're not going to get the results we want in 30 days. Yep. We have to be patient wait six months, way a year. Yeah. But you can push on that one topic let it bake and have

1:12.6

that team or department or person keep pushing while you go focus on something else did you want to

1:18.3

know something so going back to the the three year planning yesterday so something that you probably

1:23.5

won't do but let me tell you what that's been helpful for my team. So in YPO, there's

1:27.6

a thing called a key associate forum. You know what a forum is, right? So forms like you meet with these eight to ten people months. You never got involved with one, but like that's what happens, right? So turns out, like forms have been very impactful for me. I started doing that since I was like 26 years old. And you meet with these people. You talk about the 5% of things that you can't talk about with like your spouse or

1:45.1

your partner, for example. So very valuable. I learned a lot because I was only 26. These people were like way, way more experience than I was. So get this. My CTO, for example, he's in a CTO key associate form. So I pay three grand a year. and he's with CTOs that are like way ahead of him, right?

2:01.8

These are significant businesses.

2:03.6

Same thing might happen with on, CTO key associate form. So I pay three grand a year. And he's with CTOs that are like way ahead of him,

2:01.4

right? These are significant businesses. Same thing might happen with on the sales side, for example. Like there might be like a chief revenue officer form and everyone's like far ahead. And so what's happening is these people are learning through osmosis. And for three grand a year, like to me, I'm like, that's worth it, right?

2:16.8

And so that's one of the benefits I'm getting from YPO, I would say, right now.

2:21.3

And. And for three grand a year, like, to me, I'm like, that's worth it, right? And so that's one of the benefits I'm getting from YPO, I would say, right now. And this just came out recently. And so food for thought. Yeah. You have an interesting topic here that says, if you hate billionaires, you have a low IQ. Yes. I believe that if you hate billionaires, you have a low IQ. because when i log into threads all i see is people complaining about billionaires, you have a low IQ. Yes. I believe that if you hate billionaires, you have a low IQ.

2:34.9

Because when I log into threads, all I see is people complaining about billionaires.

2:38.2

It's like, well, billionaires should be taxed more.
