If the expectation is, in order to build a successful company, you need to basically drop everything, sleep under your desk, work 100 hours a week and do nothing else and don't have a life, you cut out a huge number of people who are incredibly talented and who have great ideas.

Gosh, 15 years ago, something like that, on how we met.

Because it's a good story.

And little did I know that you were one of the most influential people in the world in tech.

Do you remember how we met?

Yeah, we were on a plane in China, and we were the only two people on the plane who were not Chinese.

And I thought, oh, we're probably going to the same place. So I tried to introduce myself. You basically blew me off.

I was like, who's this white man bugging me?

Exactly. And then later, I don't know, you gave me a Tic Tac. I did. An apology.
