In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that inspire you in your faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's Word and that heightened your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, you don't have to look too far to realize we live in a day of so much biblical departure. And it's hard to know who's in and who's out these

days, hard to discern if someone is off the rails biblically or if maybe they just differ in

opinions in a way that's perfectly biblical. During our recent fundraiser, I read from a book

of a popular author and we've been using his book in fundraising for many years, and it truly is one of the

best books I've read on generosity and biblical stewardship. This year, when I read from the book,

a listener texted in and called me on it. When I was off the air, I said, does something happen

with this guy that I don't know about? And apparently, he's wandered from biblical principles in a

very concerning way.

I was grieved. I had no idea. I even talked with my pastor about it that night, and he says,

graciously he said, okay, that doesn't mean this earlier work is worthless. He's written some great books.

Maybe be careful with his current work. I appreciated that insight because nothing I feel like I've read from that book was ever

on Biblical.

It was great content.

But it begs the question, how do I as a radio host and an author and a speaker stay on

top of who's out of bounds and who just differs an opinion on secondary issues?

Just this morning, I received a text about a fellow author that I've had on this show that I've shared the stage with at speaking events who's drifted into unbiblical teaching.

I'm shocked. An hour later, I received a call about a guest that I've had on the show and their association with those who teach unbiblical principles.

But as being associated the same as embracing a biblical

doctrine, Jesus was a friend of sinners. Today's show is going to feel a little bit like a family
