I'm before we get started here.

I want to hear what you think about the episodes but I also want to know for people who might be new to ball move and haven't listened to us before I want to know who the hell you are and what your relationship with foundation is.

Well, as you said, my name is Aaron and I first read the foundation series back in junior high in high school and I have read the main sequence of the foundation series but I have not read any of the prequels or the sequels that were written in like the the later part of the 80s.

And I still like I still remember a good deal of the main plot and the characters, but it's also been a little hazy I haven't read this since I was a teenager, so it's been 20 30 years at best, and I'm a little I'm a little bit hazy, but I'm not completely going in here blind. How about you, Jim.

As you said, I'm Jim and I read the series about 20 or 30 days ago, not actually the whole series either a couple of months ago, I picked up foundation audiobook and listen through that and was pretty surprised.

Pretty bummed out that I hadn't picked it up before because it was so good.

I think as a teenager that would have been really compelling to me, but here I am, you know, is a 39 year old man checking out the books for the first time and really liking them.

And then we're back, we're back to the series, let's talk about that for a minute.

Well, I do want to say because I think one question a listener might have in their mind is, oh my god, these guys have read the books, someone one more recently, someone read more from away.

Oh my god, it's going to be one of those podcasts where they're always comparing, you know, and saying is isn't as good and spoiling me for other things.

If you're, that's a valid concern because I know a lot of podcasts kind of do that, but like we have done this several times.

With the Walking Dead podcast, you know, we had both read the comics far in advance of where that series had been to points, we've done the expanse where you've read the books in advance, did the game of Thrones or I'd read the books in it.

We're pretty good.

We're pretty good at separating what we know from you.

We might have at the end of the podcast, like a discussion about the books versus the series, or we might have some speculation about how we think what we know about the series is going to shape the books.

But we're always going to mark that really well in case there are spoilers for people who want to remain, remain absolutely pure.

So, you know, you can respect and enjoy the podcast is what I'm saying.
