So this week I'll be covering the episode while Andy is still traveling.

We kick off with a quick update in, you guessed it, the Karen Reed trial.

As you know from last time the case ended in a mistrial

and Massachusetts prosecutors announced their intention to retry read.

It has however just gotten messier from there. On Wednesday

July 10th Karen Reed's defense team filed a new memo that could potentially

reshape the course of this high-profile case. The memo supports the dismissal of two of the three counts

against Reed, citing new information from jurors that has come to light since Judge Beverly

Canone declared a mistrial on July 1st.

So let's break down the key points.

Number one, juror revelations.

The defense claims that four jurors have now come forward all affirming that the jury

had unanimously agreed on not guilty

verdicts for two of the three charges. Specifically, they say the jury had agreed to

a quit read of second-degree murder and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash causing death.

Two, the fourth juror's statement.

In an affidavit, defense attorney Alan Jackson

details the account of Juror D.

This juror reportedly expressed discomfort

with the trial's conclusion stating,

...
