Welcome back my friends. It's time for you and me to get our minds aligned with the

truth of God. We've been trying to do that these last few episodes by focusing in on this topic of the fear of the Lord.

It's one of the things I think we have got to understand during difficult times.

It's what sustains us.

It's what enables us to persevere,

because we are believing God to be who he says he is, and we're aligning our thinking and our lives with that reality.

That's really what we need because behind the scenes of something like COVID-19

all kinds of things are going on that we don't see and that we don't understand.

And believing that our God being sovereign is in fact in control of all those things

is not just a comfort to us, it's a confidence to us. and it needs to be such especially when the difficulties of the circumstance

come to bear on our own lives in personal ways You know it's it's great to have faith and to speak that

faith boldly and confidently. But our ability to do that must be maintained when the tragedies touch us personally.

You see when it's our child who's lost to COVID-19, and when it's our job that's permanently gone because of a worldwide shutdown.

You see it's in those moments, in those times that are hardest when our faith in God has to work.

You see our faith is not some Pollyanna kind of faith

where we're just blue skies all the time.

No, we face reality the way that it is

because we know that the God who loves us and has committed himself to us

through the death and resurrection of his son Jesus Christ is working all these these things, as tragic as they are for our good and for the glory of

his great plan and purpose.

My friends, that's the lesson of the book of Job.

That's why God chided Job so strongly in the end.
