| 0:07.0 | The morning mindset is an attempt for us to start out our day in alignment with the way God thinks. It really is that simple. |
| 0:16.9 | We are working every morning and it's hard work to get our minds on track for the day. |
| 0:23.0 | We've been doing that most recently, but looking at this concept of the fear of the Lord. |
| 0:28.0 | The Bible speaks about it quite boldly, quite openly, and we sometimes shirk back from the concept because we don't like the idea of being afraid of God. |
| 0:38.0 | We want God to be someone we can cozy up to, someone we can see as our friend. |
| 0:44.0 | And I don't speak derogatoryly about those concepts |
| 0:47.2 | because they are indeed true. |
| 0:49.6 | But they come once we understand this concept of the fear of the Lord. |
| 0:55.0 | Because you see the fear of the Lord is the beginning of the wisdom. |
| 0:58.4 | It's the beginning of knowledge. |
| 1:00.3 | It's the beginning of relationship with him because it enables us to see him rightly in all of his |
| 1:07.3 | grandeur and glory as king, as sovereign over everything that's happening, |
| 1:13.0 | over the universe, and over our lives, |
| 1:16.0 | and it enables us to see ourselves |
| 1:19.0 | in a place of humility and submission to him, which then opens the doors to all of his love, all of his goodness, |
| 1:27.5 | all of his greatness, because we see ourselves as sinners in need of the Savior, who he has sent to be our salvation and to be our |
| 1:36.2 | redemption and all these glorious biblical concepts. And so my friends I want |
| 1:41.8 | to encourage you to embrace this concept of fearing the Lord. |

| 1:48.6 | The way I've defined the fear of the Lord based on my understanding of scripture is that to fear the Lord is to believe God to be |
