| 0:00.0 | Good morning my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you are |
| 0:07.4 | ready to get your mind aligned with the truth of God this morning and I've just introduced a topic that the scripture refers to as the |
| 0:16.0 | fear of the Lord. And we honestly don't like combining those words together because we don't want to fear God we want God to be a |
| 0:25.8 | comfort to us we want him to be a solace for us when we're grieving or sad |
| 0:31.2 | we want him to be a strength for us when we're weak and unstable. |
| 0:36.3 | And the ironic thing is that the scriptures teach that when we fear the Lord, those are the things that come about. |
| 0:44.8 | And it comes about because we are believing God to be who he says he is, and we're bringing |
| 0:50.9 | our thinking in life into conformity with who he says he is. |
| 0:56.4 | And that's a hard thing to do sometimes. |
| 0:59.3 | And I find that it requires an essential humility to not just intellectually but on a heart level |
| 1:06.8 | admit that God is God we are not and what does that mean practically? Well it means that we put ourselves in a |
| 1:17.8 | position under his authority where we admit things like this. We say, God you have the wisdom to do what is right in this situation not me |
| 1:29.5 | You have the wisdom to put into place and into action a plan and a sequence of events |
| 1:36.9 | that is best for the big picture of not just the people involved in this situation, but the world as a whole. |
| 1:46.4 | You see, if we give some thought to the fact that all of these events are going on in the |
| 1:51.8 | world right now regarding a virus regarding people be in the hospital and government shutting down and all of these kinds of things and realize that the thing we say as believers is that God is in control of all that. |
| 2:06.0 | Just taking that concept and following it through brings us to the realization that there are |
| 2:12.1 | millions and billions and gazillions of interrelated relationships |
| 2:19.6 | between things and people and circumstances and events that we as human beings could |
| 2:26.1 | never decipher and never understand. Yet God being in control as we say he is and as we affirm that he is has all of those things sorted |
| 2:38.4 | He understands them all in fact he's working them all together for the good of those who loved him and for those who are called according to his purpose |
| 2:48.5 | We find that in Romans chapter 8 verse 28 and so my friends do you see our faith becomes more strongly rooted |
