Two things on the podcast today - at the end of the episode there is a discussion with former guest, Brian Elliott from Slack's Future Forum.

Ahead of that I want to make an announcement about what I've been working on - with my new book Fortitude.

Fortitude is an investigation into the elusive idea of resilience, a book that discovers that resilience is a area filled with mistakes, misdirection and over-promise. The book finds the true secrets of resilience.

You can find out all of about the book here or you can receive my workplace culture course for free if you pre-order it now.

The Future Forum book 'How the Future Works' is available now.

Registered reference number 900846. Hello, this is Eat Sleep Work Repeat. It's a podcast about workplace culture, psychology and life.

I've been waiting a long time to do this episode.

There's a couple of things on today's episode.

In the second half of the show, I've got an interview with Brian Elliot. Brian was on an episode before and was

incredibly popular. He runs the Future Forum which is a think tank staffed and funded by Slack, the technology company, which sort of delves into how we're going to be working in the future.

So he had a, he's got a book out this week and I wanted to chat to him.

But firstly I wanted to chat about a couple of things of my own. Over the last couple of years I've been working on a book about resilience. It's called Fortitude and it's available to pre-order today and there's a full link and details in the

show notes. Resilience is a strange thing and I found myself sort of immersed in it.

I don't know I just don't think we heard a lot about resilience when I was a kid and if you

delve into that that's almost certainly true Google runs something called the N-Gran

project which allows you to see the frequency of different

words in books, and the word resilience has grown thousands of percent, in fact thousands of

percent even since the millennium.

And resilience training is absolutely everywhere.

Obviously, resilience is an incredibly desirable thing.
