Last week, the FBI made a surprising announcement.

Today, we are announcing charges against 10 former National Football League players

who were accused of defrauding an NFL health care program meant to benefit retired players

and their families.

The indictment involves more than $3 million in fraudulent claims for medical equipment,

including a device that is normally used on horses.

And among the defendants is former Washington running back Clinton Portis.

Today, the Athletics Daniel Kaplan joins us to break down this unusual case to discuss

what NFL players' lives are like after they stop playing and to explain the impacts

that the lawsuit could have on other retired players.
