Summary

ChristyLoiacono was born and raised on a farm in the Charlotte area of North Carolina. She loved animals and growing up

she made it a habit of bringing animals home to take care of and keep. She grew up wanting to be a veterinarian

and had an opportunity to intern with a local vet. When they had to terminate the life of an animal she knew it wasn’t for her.

She chose instead to study marketing and ended up working for NASCAR. She met a young man that was working with the Jeff Gordon

racing team and ended up moving to San Diego. A friend of hers told her about IFLY Oceanside, she m,et the owners and

became their first employee during construction of the facility. Now IFLY Oceanside trains our military, helps parents host

birthday parties and works with the public to help them in any way they can. They are helping to put lives back together everyday!

1:15.3	appreciate you inviting me out. I'd love to share what we're doing. So where were you
1:19.7	born? Um, so surprisingly enough I started off on the East Coast. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland.
1:26.0	Yeah. I lived there for about 10 years and then my dad was transferred through IBM down to Charlotte, North Carolina and that's where I was for about another 10 more years until I kind of ventured out and luckily made it out west here and I've
1:46.0	been here ever since.
1:47.1	I just went to Charlotte for the first time a couple of months ago.
1:51.2	It's, you know, it's grown a lot. It's a great thing for sure. It's beautiful man. It's absolutely gorgeous. So growing up in back east right and specifically growing up in in Charlotte which is right

2:11.2	um you know I would probably have to say the freedom of space. I rode horses, so I was outdoors. I was a part of
