Yes, it is Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend.

I hope you had a blessed solemn rewarding a holiday weekend, one in which you cherished

your fallen soldiers, your heroes of wars past and present.

Because that's the reason why we have Memorial Day.

It isn't just to get a Monday off like Kamala Harris may have suggested in her ill-fated

tweet last Friday that brought her a lot of blowback on social media in the political

world.

She spent a lot of the weekend trying to save face.

It isn't just a three-day weekend to go party and it's also to remember the extraordinary

sacrifices of generations of men and women in our fighting forces who fought for our

freedom, fought to preserve the greatest aspects of the American experience.

And I've left us with the greatest country the world has ever known.

And I know I spent a lot of time reflecting on that, talking to my family, my son about

it, and just truly appreciating the magnitude of the people that have given their lives

for this country.

Unselfishly.

And you think it's in the millions, it makes you shudder sometimes to think that there

are that many good souls that believed enough in America to shed their blood and to go

to that eternal resting place in heaven, not having finished their complete life because

they wanted this country to be free and remain free from totalitarianism and so many other
