Beth, welcome to Recode Media. Thanks, Kara. Fun to be here. How long? I don't know. We don't want to say how long. We don't know how long. We don't know how long. But nonetheless, you've had quite a career. And one of the reasons I want to have you on here, because I think it's really important, not just for women, but just in general, talk about how people's careers go.

Because yours have shifted really drastically. Yeah, I never would have imagined having this career. Yeah, exactly. So let's talk a little bit about what you've done. Before NBC, you were, I'm blanking about where you were. Well, I actually started my career. I wanted to be a journalist, and I wasn't very good at it.

I wasn't confident. Pretty quickly, I got behind the scenes. I actually worked, I grew up near Washington, D.C., and I worked in a version of Wayne's World back in the day for public access television. Oh, wow. And then from there, I ended up going to NBC. I joined NBC as a publicity coordinator.
