Britain's royal family has been grappling with a new crisis after King Charles' younger brother was arrested this morning.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor used to be known as Prince Andrew until his title was taken away a few months back over his links to convicted sex

offender Jeffrey Epstein. Now police have taken him in on suspicion of misconduct in public

office. Police have not said what led them to arrest him, but he spent a decade as UK trade

envoy. Police previously said the force was assessing claims he shared sensitive information

with Epstein while serving his envoy. CNN's Max Foster is outside Buckingham Palace for us.

So Max, what has been the King's response to his brother being arrested?

David, the King, very quick to come out with a statement about his brother, saying he has the deepest concern about the news about Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, notably not mentioning

that he's his brother very much trying to separate the monarchy from what's happening with

this police investigation, but the king offering full and wholehearted support and cooperation.

that Epstein was having with Andrew.

It's important to say Mountbatten Windsor has denied all accusations against him and

insists that he never witnessed or suspected any of the behavior that Epstein is accused of, but he hasn't commented

publicly on the more recent allegations of misconduct in public office.
