The Virginia trial at Brendan Banfield, a former IRS special agent, centers on an alleged murder plot.

Prosecutors describe as calculated and grotesque.

Banfield is charged with aggravated murder in the February 23 killings of his wife, Christine, and Joseph Ryan, inside their Herndon Virginia home.

Prosecutors alleged Banfield orchestrated the killings to conceal an affair with the family's

Brazilian opair, Giuliana Magalise.

They say Banfield impersonated his wife on a fetish website, luring Ryan to the home under the guise of a sexual encounter.

According to Magalese's testimony, Bantfield shot Ryan and stabbed Christine while staging the scene as a home invasion.

Banfield has pleaded not guilty.

Magalese, who pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter,

is testifying for the prosecution and today faced cross-examination, and tonight you will see
