A former aide of New York Governor Kathy Hokkel is now being charged as being a Chinese agent.

Now, Linda Sun, who worked as Deputy Chief of Staff for Hockel and deputy diversity officer for then

Governor Andrew Cuomo was accused by federal prosecutors of being an undeclared agent

for the Chinese Communist Party while working for the politicians.

Now she was arrested on Tuesday morning along with her husband Chris Hu at their Long Island

home and according to the US Attorney's

Office, this individual, son, right, the woman, engaged in political activities in the interests

of the CCP with her co-defendant husband where he was conspiring to allegedly again,

launder the proceeds of their unlawful activities. United States Attorney, Briampi, said, quote,

As alleged while appearing to serve the people of New York as deputy chief of staff within the New York State Executive Chamber,

the defendant and her husband actually worked to further the interests of the Chinese government and the CCP.

The illicit scheme enriched the defendant's family to the tune of the Chinese government and the CCP. The illicit scheme enriched

the defendant's family to the tune of millions of dollars. Now Sun was also charged with

visa fraud, aliens smuggling, and conspiracy to commit money laundering, while Hu, the husband,

was charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering, bank fraud,

and misuse of means of identification.

Now, what's particularly interesting about this case is that these individuals, you know,

again, innocent till proven guilty, but they're accused of actually basically trying to enforce

the Chinese Communist Party's laws on human rights abuses within New York.

This includes doing things against some of the minority groups in China, which the CCP
