Father, in Jesus' name, we thank you for your goodness.

Cover us, keep us, protect us, and speak to us in Jesus, holy and precious name.

Glorify your son in us and through us amen well uh

the last time you heard from me I talked to you about being formed in the Lord Jesus

and that being God's great plan for our life. It's the overarching umbrella plan to give his

son a reward because his son is worthy. And he is worthy because he suffered and died and is raised

again and has received the name above every name as the scripture teaches

in Philippians chapter 2 because he died the death even the death of the cross

so we are about Jesus we are created for Jesus we are created in the image of Jesus as the

scripture teaches that we are created in the image of Jesus, as the scripture teaches, that we are created in the

image of God. I said this last time. The image of God is clearly the Lord. That's Hebrews 1 and

Colossians chapter 1. Jesus himself is the image of the invisible God and he is the icon of God.

That's what that word image means.

Icona to Theu.

Icon, icon, icon to Thehu, of God.

Theos, it's where we get the word theology.

So when you think image of God, think Jesus, specifically think Christ crucified.

That is for another teaching, and hopefully we can go there.

But in Romans 8, 29, I read this to you last time.

I'll just go ahead and read it again as a review.

For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed or made or crafted to the image of his son that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
