This teaching series addressed major components.

Why is forgiving so critical?

Critical number one to our relationship with God.

God said to us, when you stand the praying,

Mark 11, 25 through 26,

when you position yourself before me

to commune with me, to be intimate with me,

to address me, to petition me,

when you position yourself to talk to me if you have anything in

your heart against anybody he says the first thing you do is forgive so that your father will

forgive you if you refuse to forgive any person who has inflicted injury or harm upon you,

assaulted you, mismanaged you, mistreated you, mishandled you, if you refuse to forgive, neither will I forgive you.

Our relationship with God. Another key component is our relationship with others.

We cannot have healthy relationships with people.

Whether family members, colleagues, friends, members in the body of Christ, we cannot have

healthy relationships with people if we harbor bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment in our hearts.

And then our relationship with self, I must be willing to forgive myself. When I refuse to forgive, whether it is

others or myself, I put my mental health in jeopardy. I place my emotional health in jeopardy. I place my
