Summary

Forget What Everyone Else Is Telling Us It's time to stop listening to advice. We've all heard it: "You should do this." Or, "You shouldn't do that." But what if we did the opposite? What if we stopped following other people's advice and instead made our own decisions about how to live our lives? When you think about it, the concept of listening to other people's advice is pretty weird. Why would anyone want to take advice from someone else? We all know what works for us and what doesn't, so why not just go with what works? The truth is, taking advice from others can be dangerous, because it robs us of our ability to make informed decisions. Instead of basing your decisions on what you think will work best for you, you're basing them on what someone else thinks will work best for them. Sure, they may have some good ideas—but they also might not. And even worse, they could be totally wrong! That's why it's important to take full ownership over your life and create the life YOU want instead of letting other people tell you how things should be done.
