Summary

Meet guests, who claim their paychecks are barely enough to survive in today’s economy, plus adults in their 70s who cannot afford to stop working. 

Dr. Phil is speaking with guests, who, despite being fully employed, claim their paychecks are barely enough to survive in today’s economy. Dr. Phil will speak with Jordan and his wife Latisha, who claim despite both working full time as teachers, they can barely afford the necessities to survive for themselves and their children, including not being able to afford healthcare. Plus, Dr. Phil speaks with Betty, who, at 75 years old, says she is feeling hopeless, and physically exhausted because she cannot afford to stop working. Dr. Phil will also speak with Gay and her husband, Don, who claim they have been thrust back into the workforce in their 70s.

And those who don't, well, they aren't. Simple. Value in, value out. But after 200 plus years, that common sense

system, it's under attack at almost every turn in our society. These days, instead of celebrating

skill and talent, we're focusing on a whole lot of other things.

We're focusing on not offering a hand-up as opposed to a hand-out.

And as a nation, drowning in debt, we instead are rewarding people who choose not to work.
