Title of the book is Forged in Darkness, the Many Paths of Personal Transformation. And her name is Joanna LaProd. And she's the doctor.

She's the founder of Aeon Psychotherapy. Her therapeutic work focuses on

helping clients find a meaningful connection to their inner worlds. She has published articles in the

field of Youngian and archetypal psychology and taught at the Colorado College on the Youngian

and archetypal perspective. She lives in Durango, Colorado, with her partner Max and her dog, Akela, and her, which I will put in the show notes.

Really interesting.

Can you kind of talk about your background why you chose this particular field in psychology

and then what led you to write forged in darkness?

A big question.

My background is in Jungian and archetypal psychology. I got my doctorate at Pacifica Graduate Institute,

and the first iteration of this book is my doctoral dissertation,

which I've taken great labors to transform it from that type of kind of

sterile academic writing into something that I hope can really affect people.
