Hello and welcome to episode number 1,139.

You know that that number perfectly represents how many tabs I have opened on my

computer. Okay, I'm joking. That's an exaggeration. But I just sat here and counted how many

tabs do I actually have open on my browsers on my computer?

What would you guess?

Just throw out a number.

And then I will tell you how many I have.

I have 112 tabs opened. Why? Why? Why do we do that to ourselves? You may not. You probably are like a sane

person. You probably open up a tab, do what you want to do, close the tap, move on with your life.

Not me. I open a tab,

and then I leave it there and I open a new tab.

You know, psychologists have a name for this. It's called tab hoarding. And a Carnegie Mellon University study said that 55% of people had trouble closing tabs.

And I think that what people think about this is that there's this fear of missing out.

Like if you close a tab to a page that you've opened, you fear you're going to miss

something on that. And that little bit of information or opportunity sits on your computer screen

crying out to you saying, you haven't lost me yet. And it feels almost like it's a bank account.

You know, you just keep growing that bank account of tab after tab. Now, I have a certain amount of tabs
