Well, today we are celebrating 3,350 episodes.

And today we're going to bring you an episode that I thought I'd already played,

but reviewing my history, I was actually wrong.

Today we're going to bring you an episode of

forecast. Forecast was an interesting experiment by CBS in 1940 and 1941. And what they did

is each week, it would bring you essentially a pilot of a potential series. And then listener response

would determine whether that pilot would actually become an ongoing radio program. Most of the

programs that aired on forecast were one and done affairs. However, there were some series that

came out of forecast. The radio comedy Duffy's Tavern. The western Hopalong Cassidy,

and the variety program Jubilee all can have a root in forecast and perhaps the biggest of them all is one of the

longest running radio series of all time suspense but today we're going to bring you
