So we had you on last year to talk about Ernest Hemingway.

You are an Ernest Hemingway scholar, you've written several books about them, you have

a podcast all about Ernest Hemingway and his work.

I wanted to bring you back on the podcast to talk about one of my favorite Ernest Hemingway

books, For Whom the Bell Tolls.

This is often listed as one of the greatest war novels ever written.

I know it was the late Senator John McCain's favorite novel.

I'm curious, let's talk about this Hemingway wrote this book in 1940.
