Solomon closes the book of Ecclesiastes with these words.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.

Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

Each of us have been given only one life. What will we do with it? Life. It's not a game.

And in this journey through the book of Ecclesiastes, Scott Pauley will guide us to better

understand the true meaning of life.

I want to return today to one verse, Ecclesiastes chapter 3 and verse number 11, because it's so rich.

Now, we've already studied the previous verses, this classic passage on time.

Oh, may God help us. We're living in a world where everybody's trying to get more done in the same amount of time. And with all of our time saving

devices and time management techniques, it seems like people are busier and more spent and

empty than ever before. The way to make the most of time is not to try harder. The way to make the most of time is to order the priorities in light of what God wants done.

That's what Paul means in the New Testament when he says,

redeeming the time.

My pastor used to say that you never know at what season of your life,

you'll make the greatest contribution,

and God will do the greatest contribution,

and God will do the greatest work in you.

I think the answer to that is the greatest season is going to be the season where the time is yielded back to God.

But at the end of this passage on time, I love this, we're led to eternity.

Verse 11, He, God, hath made everything beautiful in his time.

Also, don't miss the also, he has set the world in their heart so that no man can find out the work

that God maketh from the beginning to the end. There actually are two references to eternity here. You have time and eternity
