I'm your host, Grace Valentine. I'm an author. I write a lot on Instagram, my mini books, and most importantly, I'm a friend. And I am so excited to talk to you ladies today. And this is for all the sorty girls going through recruitment. And basically, you're on the other side, whether this is your first year on the other side or you're a senior. It can feel super weird to juggle recruitment and the idea of being a Christian. So if you're listening to this, maybe you're a Christian, maybe you're not. If you're not, I invite you to know how great it is to live for Jesus. But if you are a Christian, then you probably know that tension of being a Christian and wanting to love other people well in the process that recruitment is. And for the record, I was a girl who was so into recruitment. Like there's this picture where I look kind of peed, but I was never actually peeved. I was obsessed with it. I loved creating jingles and songs, which we took names and we did jingles with them to help us remember the names of girls we were really rushing. And I think my sophomore year, I was rushing like seven, eight girls, helping them all find bigs.

especially out-of-staters, get into a sorority that they may really want and help them find forever friendships.

I was just with a girl named Juliana and I had met her at a sendoff party and I rushed

her my sorority and I remember being obsessed with her and it's fun because now she's like in my

friend group and she's always like remember when we met and she is so kind and she always says

like you rushed me and that helped me find all my friends.

And she's a doll. And it's cool what God can do. However, I also look back in recruitment. And I also became someone I didn't always love because of recruitment. I got super into it. I was super competitive. That one other sorority that we were competitive with, I mean, it was so stupid. y'all me and this one sorority, we were always so petty with each other.

They were to me.

And that can bring out a competitive spirit in you as the sorty recruitment. And so this is for all you girls going through recruitment. I know what it's like to be in that season. I know what it's like to want that girl to go that sorority and she doesn't. and you feel so hurt, especially because she chooses the one that you don't like, which is so stupid when you say it out loud.

But I know how that goes in common. and she doesn't and you feel so hurt, especially because she chooses the one that you don't like,

which is so stupid when you say it out loud. But I know how that goes in college. But I first

want to remind you that you're called to make disciples and not pie beta fyes, which is what I was,

caught up and lose your purpose in this. What a cool opportunity you have to talk to freshmen who
