Summary

Jesus claims that external fruitfulness reveals the inner life of the disciple. This teaching traces that theme through Matthew’s Gospel, drawing an abstract, ancient metaphor into concrete, modern realitultimately revealing that all true spiritual formation is for the sake of others.
