Summary

Our aim, in the way of Jesus is to become a gift of sacrificial love for the sake of others. But the thing about “others” is that no matter how pure the intentions to love, we inevitably wrong and are wronged by the very people we’re trying to love. If we are to truly become a gift of sacrificial love for the sake of others, we also need to become a people of sustained forgiveness for the sake of others. From Matthew 18v21-35.

0:22.6	Jesus answered, I tell you, not seven times, but 77 times. Therefore, the kingdom of heaven

1:06.3	He grabbed him and began to choke him.
1:08.7	Pay back what you owe me, he demanded.
1:10.9	His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him,
1:13.9	be patient with me, and I will pay it back.
1:16.9	But he refused.
1:18.2	Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison
1:20.9	until he could pay the debt.
1:23.0	When the other servants saw what had happened,
1:25.7	they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.
1:29.3	When the master called the servant in, you wicked servant, he said,
1:33.3	I canceled all the debt of yours because you begged me.
