Now you've been in a big tent this weekend, haven't you?

I have. I've been at the fabulous Big Tent Ideas Festival yesterday.

Mudchute Park on the Isle of Dogs, not somewhere I had ever been before.

I used to live on the Isle of Dogs.

Did you?

Or the canine islands, as we used to call it.

In your pretentious way.

Yes, or the Eild de Chien.

So do you know this Mutschute Park Farm and Fields sort of thing?

No, I think it's down the bottom of the Isle of Dogs. I used to live in a

building called Cascades, which is right on the top bend of the river. And I had, I was in one of

these, well, it's quite a famous building. It was the one that Prince Charles called a carbuncle.

And I lived on the 10th floor in a Riverside flat and I absolutely loved it. You could watch the

cruise ships go by. It was an amazing position but I moved out in 1997 to come to the delights

of Tumbridge Wells. Well, well, anyway, the Big Tent Ideas Festival is held in the Isle of Dogs and it was really great.

I mean, I was there with my Joe Cox Foundation chair hat on doing a session on defending democracy talking about tackling the intimidation of public figures with Jonathan Evans, who's the former Director General of MI5, now Lord Jonathan Evans, chair of the Committee on Standards in Public Life, an excellent Met Police Commander, Adrian Usher, and Angela Eagle, who of course has experienced a very amount of intimidation herself, but was really brilliant.

But the point, and our session was good.

But the point is it's sort of lots of tents.

I mean, it's like a festival, glass stove for Tories.
