You might know that today is the International Transgender Day of Visibility, a mom that

I love, one of my oldest and dearest friends, a person who was in my wedding, is the mother

of a fairly remarkable kid named Alex.

And in proof of how special these two people are, they agreed to come on Kelly Corgan

Wonders and tell the story of how Alex came to know who he was and what he wanted and

how his mom adjusted her dreams and expectations accordingly.

I really don't know if I have a better example of unconditional love to offer up.
