Summary

Welcome back to another episode of For the Girl podcast. We are reflecting on moments when the busyness of life almost led us to quit. Our journey of balancing entrepreneurial spirit with life's demands is laid bare as we discuss the necessity of simplifying and focusing on what truly matters. Drawing inspiration from scripture, we emphasize the importance of rest and recalibration, much like Jesus did, amidst the hustle of daily life. We also discuss the struggle and benefits of adopting a slower pace of life and aligning with the peace offered by Jesus. Our conversation highlights the need for a fundamental lifestyle shift, where prioritizing time at Jesus' feet is most important. We’re learning how to embrace divine interruptions and framing daunting tasks as opportunities for growth and we invite you to journey along with us in that! I like your sweater. Thank you. Guess where it's from. It's kind of Valentine's Day-esque. We're getting closer. Where is it from? Zara. Gap. Gap. Are you in the Gap? I have not really shopped much for myself there, but I always buy Tyler's some Christmas presents there.

0:56.0

Oh, you do? Yeah.

You're in a healthy girl era. Well, I was. No, I don't know. I don't know. She totally stayed. She was like, we were on a call, and she was like, you're going to laugh at me. And then proceeded to laugh, like, out loud for, like, 60 seconds before anything came out of her mouth. And I was like, oh, what are you about to say right now? And then she was like, I'm doing a carnivore diet. No, you can get it wrong. I was telling her I tried out the animal-based diet, so which is different than the carnivore diet. Okay. Similar, but very different. Tell us more. So animal-based diet, so which is different than the carnivore diet. Similar, but very different.

1:29.2

So animal-based, honestly, I don't know much about the science behind it, but it's basically

like you can eat any grass-fed organic meats.

1:39.0

Same, everything has to be grass-fed, organic, whatever, blah, blah, blah.

1:42.9

So you could, but it's similar to carnivore, how you can eat, like, meats, cheeses, dairy products, things like that.

1:49.6

But you can also eat, like, sweet potatoes, fruit and...

1:55.1

Not regular potatoes?

1:55.9

1:56.9

Yes, I think you could have regular potatoes, too.

1:58.9

Starch.

1:59.6

There's certain things you can eat. No rice. No rice. Okay. But you could have that's sounding kind of like a Mediterranean diet. Yeah, kind of. Yeah, you're actually right. Except on a Mediterranean, I don't think you can have potatoes. I don't know. Yeah, I'm not sure. But anyways, I did it for like a week and a half. It was a short time frame.
