What the hell is going on in Congress? Tempting to say, oh, nothing. What a sophisticated

take. That is. How about nothing good, elevating the sophistication level? Whether it's something

going on, but there are also some things not going on, and that is the dog that didn't

bark or in this case, maybe the stove that didn't spark, but then it actually caught fire.

So the Republicans, couple weeks ago, took up a measure to stop the ban of gas stoves.

They're banning gas stoves. What are you talking about? Ask New Jersey Democrat Frank

Pallon. The idea that anyone is coming into American homes to remove gas stoves is ridiculous.

If nothing else, that sentiment does give some credibility to the argument of New

York Republican Michael Lawler. My colleagues on the other side of the aisle will stand here

and say to their blue in the face that they don't want to ban gas stoves, and that it's

ridiculous that anyone would dare claim that it's happening.
