Last night, Kamala Harris did her first interview as the Democratic presidential nominee.

Our colleague Molly Ball sat down to watch it with our producer Rachel Humphreys

We're speaking to CNN's Dana Bash.

Madam Vice President, Governor Wells, thank you so much for sitting down with me and bringing the bus.

Bash asked Harris about her plans if she wins, and why some of her policy positions seem to have changed since she last ran for president, like her stance on fracking.

What made you change that position at the time? Well, let's be clear. My values have not changed.

I believe it is very important that we take seriously what we must do to guard against what is a clear crisis in terms of the climate.

I don't think she's really answering the questions.

It seems like a pretty conspicuous attempt to avoid explaining and she knew she was going to have to explain these flip-flops

You have been vice president for three and a half years.

The steps that you're talking about now, why haven't you done them already?

Well, first of all, we had to recover as an economy, and we have done that.

I'm very proud of the work that we have done that has brought inflation down to less than 3%.

The work that we have not...

Right, it's tricky because she can't admit that she didn't have any juice in the administration,

which is the real answer.
