I have a very special guest. He comes to us from Scotland. I've had many recent guests from Scotland, interestingly.

His name is Ewan Morrison, last name is spelled M-O-R-R-I-S-O-N.

I grew up on Monty Python watching it on PBS here in the States.

But he writes, Terry Gillum writes, absolutely wonderful, riveting, sad,

mad, and terrifying. I agree with that. He is in Glasgow right now, and he has a long bio, but this is

going to be the brief one. I'll read it. He is the 2019 winner of the Saltyar Society Prize for

Fiction, Book of the Year for Nina X.

Nina X is being adapted for film by David McKenzie, whose film L or High Water was Academy Award nominated for Best Picture.

Ewan's most recent novel, How to Survive Everything, 2021 has been published in the U.S. by Harper Perennial and has been acquired

for translation in Germany and Czech in the Czech Republic. It is currently being adapted as a TV

series with made-up stories, kindling pictures, fifth season, and Ewan can be found on X at

M.R. Ewan Morrison, so his full name, name mr eun morrison so i'll put a link to

x but again today we're going to talk about a faintly fictional novel but a lot of nonfiction themes in

there i read through it i found it very interesting it took copiousious notes. It takes place where I grew up in Palo Alto.

So I know this area, Stanford, North Bay, all around that he writes about. But he can talk more about that. So you and Morrison, welcome to show.
