Good morning and welcome to Morning Glory. It's three minutes past six. I'm Mike Graham.

It's a beautiful sunrise this morning, by the way. Absolutely lovely weather.

It's cooled down quite a lot. Even in my little Piadeterre here in London, it is not absolutely roasting. So I've been able to actually get a reasonably decent night's sleep. We've got lots to talk about this morning, of course. To wit, Prime Minister's questions yesterday, unless you've been living under a rock, rock, you will have seen that poor old Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor, was not just crying, was not just whimpering, but was flat out sobbing all the way through. I mean, I think we all know how she feels, to be honest. I mean, I feel like sobbing every time I see Kirstama talking about anything. But she was literally looking like a woman who had the world on her shoulders. She looked like she hadn't slept for about three weeks.

She was nodding her head enthusiastically to hear Starmer's

sort of perambulations as he was going on and on about how he'd managed to provide free school meals for loads of people

and free breakfast clubs for loads of people, despite the fact that the welfare bill has completely actually collapsed around his ears. All sorts of speculation about what it could be. Nobody seems to know for sure. Glanley Street making out that there's a personal issue which has made her upset. Other people suggesting that she'd had a row with the Speaker, Lindsay Hoyle, other people suggesting he's had a row with Angela Rainer. The general feeling is, you know, if your chance of the exchequer of this great British nation of ours, you shouldn't really be going out front and centre in the middle of Prime Minister's questions and weeping, because it's not a very good look. And I'm afraid if you think that's not important, then look at what the markets did. The guilt slumped as the incident fueled invested nervousness over the public finances, 10-year yield pushing up 0.16 percentage points,

the biggest one-day rise since the global bond market route in April. And at one point,

the sharpest sell-off since Liz Truss's ill-fated 2022 mini-budget. That's what difference a few tiers makes,

and two-tier Kear took on a whole new meaning.

But let's not forget,
