We have arrived, ladies and gentlemen, the NFL season is here.

Thankfully, we get the Cowboys on the road against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles.

I'm expecting a pretty good football game.

The Eagles are eight-point favorites in this game.

Yeah, the world believes that Philadelphia will win this game big.

But I will tell you right now, I do not have a smell test selection on tonight's game.

There's a lot of

sharp money on Philadelphia, a lot of public money on Philadelphia as well. I tend to stay

off those games when the sharp money aligns with the public money. I expect a good game, though,

tonight. I think these first games are always difficult.

I do think week one of the NFL season is an annual major Fool's Gold week, a major head fake. Sometimes really the first month

of the NFL season is that way. Why? Well, because they don't play in the preseason. They don't hit in the

preseason. They don't tackle in the preseason. So you get basically a lot of the front line players

playing tackle football for the first time this weekend.

So expect the unexpected, and I would not rule out a Dallas upset tonight.

But the scene should be a good one.

This was the game that I think a lot of you were hoping Washington would be in,

that they would do the rematch of the NFC title game

and have Washington as Philadelphia's opponent. Philadelphia had so many options, remember,

for this opening game. We talked about all of them. You know, they had played the Rams in the

postseason. They had them at home. They had played Washington in the NFC title game, obviously.

There was Denver. There was Chicago. There were a lot of options. The Cowboys are always an
